Wood Badge for the 21st Century...
Wood Badge for the 21st Century is advanced
training that will give adult leaders the skills to make a difference.
The course brings together adults from all areas of Scouting (Cub
Scouting, Boy Scouting, Venturing, as well as the District and Council)
who want to become better leaders. Wood Badge training provides a common
foundation of leadership skills to be used throughout all program areas.
Wood Badge teaches adults leadership skills over two full weekends at
Camp Horne and Camp O'Rear. Participants will leave the course with
skills that will help them not only become better leaders in the
Scouting program, but also with skills that are useful in all parts of
their life.
If you’re up to the
challenge for the most meaningful training you’ve ever had, complete the

Physical
Requirements...
Wood Badge, as does all of Scouting, makes every possible effort to
accommodate those with special needs. Wood Badge may not be for
everyone. Wood Badge is, by its very nature, an activity which is
conducted primarily out-of-doors. Wood Badge is conducted at a time of
the year when it can be very cold outside. A
Class 3 Medical
Form is required for all participants. Your physician must
certify that you are in sufficiently good health to participate in Wood
Badge. Again, every effort will be made to accommodate those with
special needs. Should you have any questions with respect to the
physical demands of this Wood Badge course, please contact Course
Director Mike Duke.
